Wine Styles – Dessert Wines
There is no simple definition of a dessert wine. In the United States, a dessert wine is legally defined as any wine over 14% alcohol by volume, which includes all fortified wines. On Long Island, these wines include a variety of "Late Harvest" wines, usually Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, or white blends, including Ice Wines.
