Wine wines that are fermented or aged in oak barrels to achieve complex flavors and longer finishes. Flavors in these wines are more a product of winemaking than the fruit flavors in the grape. Typically associated with chardonnay but also used with other white varieties. These are white wines that can be aged, and often do well with a few years in the cellar.
