Opened in June of 2008, by partners Adam Lovett and Tom Schaudel, a Mano brings a hint of the Tuscan countryside to Mattituck. Wood oven fired pizza and pastas star on the menu along with local ingredients from the nearby farms and bay. The Italian inspired appetizers and entrees are paired with wines from both Long Island and Italy to showcase both Old and New World Flavor.

Stop by this casual Osteria for lunch, dinner, or to just have a quartino of your favorite wine and a platter of salumi and cheese at the wine bar. a Mano features twenty wines by the glass and over 100 selections from the list, as well as specialty cocktails and local vodka. Chef Noah Schwartz and his wife Sunita first met while working in the restaurant industry in Sonoma, California.

After son Jonas was born, they decided to move back to Long Island to be closer to family. Chef Noah was the final executive chef when local landmark the Seafood Barge closed in late ’09.

With the timing right, Noah and Sunita took the opportunity to open their own place, noah’s, featuring the chef’s trademark small plates. Using locally-sourced ingredients, noah’s is also the only restaurant in Greenport to boast a raw bar with several varieties of fresh oysters shucked-to-order. With Chef Noah in the kitchen and Sunita managing the dining room and acting as sommelier, diners can expect a wonderful meal.
